Afro-Modern Dance Company is CMDE’s youth company. This high-energy performance group is open to Teen and Young adult dancers with some dance or drumming experience and a strong desire to learn African dance and perform.

Explore African Culture: Immerse yourself in the cultural context of African dance through storytelling, music, and traditional costumes. Gain a deeper understanding of the historical and social significance behind the dances, fostering cultural appreciation and awareness.
Modern Dance
THURSDAYS, 6:30PM
Instructor: Sade
In the class students will explore the connection between movement and emotion, allowing dancers to express their individuality and creativity through their own interpretations. Students will learn to tell stories and evoke emotions through their movement choices.
