Improvisation Workshops
with
The Inner City Ensemble
Paterson, NJ
Facilitated by Juilliard graduate/Fulbright Scholar, Nicholas Rodriguez and The Remedy’s Edgar De Las Nueces

The Inner City Ensemble’s two-day dance improvisation workshops will begin with a gentle Modern Dance/Limon Technique warm-up, followed by improvisation prompts and exercises. The classes will then segue into structured improvisational choreography for the group with suggested traveling, spatial formations and solo inserts that will form the basis of Night Sky—a new work being created by Nicholas Rodriguez and participants. Edgar de Las Nueces will co-facilitate the workshops, using elements of his improvisation methodology, called The Remedy.
