CMDE’s deep and clear commitment to the community can almost bring one to tears and in my case, it often has. They are truly inclusive. They don’t brag about it or even really discuss it. They just really are. It’s at the core of their mission. It’s at the core of each teacher, the director, every staff person, and the initial vision behind it all. Anyone who has the desire to dance is included and embraced. CMDE works with every form of challenge or disability with a kind of grace that defies articulation. Their absolute commitment to the most challenged of their students is what makes every student feel safe. Because every student is safe. Because they are not about making stars. They are about dance. Heart and soul, and body.
