Center for Modern Dance Education to Receive $10,000 Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts National Endowment for the Arts Acting Chairman Mary Anne Carter has approved more than $27 million in grants as part of the Arts Endowment’s first major funding announcement for FY2019.  Included in this announcement is a Challenge America grant of $10,000 to the Center for Modern Dance Education (CMDE), to support a project with the NYC-based Heidi Latsky Dance (HLD), a physically-integrated company featuring dancers with and without disabilities. A free open workshop, “A Way In,” will be offered on March 16, 10:30AM-12:30PM, at CMDE’s wheelchair-accessible studio at 84 Euclid Avenue in Hackensack.  The workshop, to be taught by members of the Heidi Latsky…

  Come and raise up your self esteem through all types of art. We take all ages and all abilities. There will be a theme which the art will be based off of. The art will be dancing, singing, and visual art. There may be guest teachers to show other styles of dancing. Bottom line…it will be a lot of fun for free.
